What's going on here?

Why isn't this website more impressive? This site is not and never will be cosmetically impressive. It is my playground for Java Enterprise Edition (J2EE) technology.

Details

The Apache HTTP Server is used as a reverse proxy server, forwarding all requests to an Apache Tomcat J2EE container. Most pages are rendered by J2EE Servlet implementations to produce dynamic generated content. These servlets access a JavaDB derby database managed by the container. This server runs on 100% Free Open Source Software (FOSS). This means not a penny was spent on software.
